9% as our ecosystems begin to fail. They have a specific mandate from the governments that fund them to tackle poverty with sustainable development at the core of their decision making. Nearly a third of DFI funding is dependent upon vulnerable nature, which is around US$3.1 trillion dollars of assets. This means that should the ecosystems fail, so too will the economic benefits of the investment.<\/p>\n                                                    <a class=\"down-arrow\" href=\"#block4\"><\/a>\n                                            <\/div>\n                                                    <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<div id=\"block4\"><\/div>\n\n\n<section class=\"big-title-over relative full-width\">\n    <div class=\"background parallax-window\" data-parallax=\"scroll\" data-image-src=\"https:\/\/portfolio.earth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/woman-baby-1.jpg\"><\/div>\n    <div class=\"container\" data-aos=\"fade\">\n        <h2 class=\"xl white\"><\/h2>\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"si-cc  blockpad-top white-bg black-content\">\n        <div class=\"flex\" data-aos=\"fade-up\">\n                    <div class=\"image\" style=\"order: 2;\">\n                                <div class=\"background\" style=\"background-image: url(https:\/\/portfolio.earth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/truck-1-1200x1200.jpg);\"><\/div>\n            <\/div>\n                            <div \n                class=\"copy copy-left\" \n                style=\"order: 1;\">\n                    <div class=\"inner\">\n                        <p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"intro\">Governments providing finance to these banks are complicit whether they are aware of it or not.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b>June 2021 G7 leaders signed the 2030 Nature Compact. This was the first time the G7 had given such prominence to the biodiversity crisis, acknowledging that this crisis is inextricably linked to the climate crisis and that we need more nature-positive action. At the UN Climate Summit COP26 in November 2021, a group of multilateral DFIs signed a group statement, agreeing to<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u2018set out strategic approaches to mainstream nature into analysis, assessments and advice by 2025\u2019.
